A few quick thoughts on the Brand New record Picked it up today ... First of all, the packaging is not all it can be, super thin paper gatefold, I hate these things, you're on a major label, do a jewel case, or a digipack. If you're trying to save plastic, well done, but anoying anyways. No lyrics. You have to send $1 to a P.O. Box in New York for a copy of the lyrics. I'm assuming there is a good reason for this, but I haven't seen one. Anoying. Maybe they want you to download the record? The band constantly downplays the record, saying it's a collection of recordings, it will always be incomplete (because of the demo leaks), etc ... if you don't have confidence in the music, don't release it.
